If you are experiencing problems in installing Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) or Kaspersky Anti-Virus (KAV), this might be a possible fix to solve the installation problem. You probably get this error message that says "You must restart your computer before proceeding with the installation."
After clicking OK button, you get another error message that says "Installation interrupted. Installation ended prematurely because of an error."
 No matter how many times you restart your computer, you still can't install Kaspersky products. Here is how you can fix Kaspersky installation problem.
You need to remove a key "avp6_post_uninstall" from your registry. This key is created when uninstalling an older version of Kaspersky and somehow it wasn't removed after restarting the computer. Just follow the simple steps below on how to remove the avp6_post_uninstall key fro your registry. 1. Go to Start -> Run 2. Type regedit and click OK button. 3. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run 4. Expand the Run folder by clicking the + sign. 5. Right click on the avp6_post_uninstall key (folder) and select Delete.
 6. Install Kaspersky product as normal. You won't get the error "You must restart your computer before proceeding with the installation." and "Installation interrupted. Installation ended prematurely because of an error." anymore. If you don't know what anti-virus program to use, try Kaspersky. In my opinion, Kaspersky is one of the best Anti-Virus
